In these long, dark midwinter days we find ourselves craving some light around the house. Whether that means candles on every available surface, or adding some new home textiles to freshen things up, now's the time to go light. We tend to think of lighter colours and palettes as for summer, but there's something to be said for chalky whites, gentle creams and soft, comforting greys at this time of year. In the soft winter daylight these tones can look beautiful, simple and a little bit magical.
A mixture of natural textures will keep things cosy and welcoming. Perfect for dozing in front of the fire or a lazy weekend breakfast in bed.
We've been daydreaming about a fresh, tranquil home that celebrates the light as much as possible, and creates a peaceful backdrop to these wintry days. Here's what we dreamed up:
A light, calm bedroom
1.Silver hemstitched linen pillow case
4.Optical white stonewashed linen flat sheet
