January was shockingly busy (as always?..). This year we took part in 4 international trade shows of home textile, interior design etc. that were organized one week apart in two different continents! As the number of clients choosing our linen bedding, linen clothing, linen bathroom linen and other products is increasing, so is the itinerary of the tradeshows. Exhausting, it might seem, but meeting the real people behind our clients’ names is a real treat and a pleasant experience which sweeps away all the hard work and preparation burden for the shows!
After meetings and discussions with such huge quantities of different people in different countries having different occupations, tastes and experiences, let me summarize all the feedback I have received and introduce you the hottest, the trendiest, the most appreciated and praised of our linen products: linen bedding, linen table linen, linen clothes, linen fabrics etc.
Heimtextil (Frankfurt, Germany) is International trade fair for home and contract textiles – the biggest and most important platform for manufacturers, retailers and designers.
This year we participated together with our linen production sister-company and the most importance was given to linen fabrics of different kinds. A trend of greater numbers of USA companies interested in linen fabrics was noticed. Our natural color linen fabrics attracted the most attention which confirms the global trend of increasing demand of natural textile. So, the hottie #1: natural linen fabric.
AmericasMart Atlanta (USA) is one of the leading gift, home furnishings and area rug marketplace and the largest trade mart and tradeshow complex of its kind in the world.
New York International Gift Fair (USA) is the trade fair that hosts 2,800 exhibiting companies from all 50 states and 85 countries showcasing the very best lines across the home, lifestyle and gift spectrum.
Visitors, clients and business partners in both American trade fairs appreciated the new colors of our Lara collection which consists of linen bathroom linen and linen table linen. New colors, launched in the end of last year are tangerine, yellow, deep blue and coral. As I myself am in love with these shades I was really happy and flattered they attracted so much attention from the visitors. Of course, the softness and oustanding qualities of linen fabric also had important role these linen towels and linen tablecloths, linen napkins etc were appreciated so much. The hottie #2: vivid colors of linen table linen and bathroom linen.
Other linen products that were noticed at once were our hand woven linen placemats that are made using an ancient weaving machine of my grandma! It is more than 100 years old! The placemtas are simple, rustic and nevertheless (or maybe exactly because of this) – somehow eye-catching and gorgeous. The hottie #3: handmade linen placemats.
Maison&Objet (Paris, France) is a trade show that targets professionals from the field of Home fashion and design and serves as an opportunity for buyers and suppliers to establish foundations for new business contacts.
We have presented our brand new products in Maison&Objet – new Lara placemats that will be launched in our online shop this summer. These and matching linen napkins of gorgeous colors from Lara collection (e.g. citrine, chambray, copper, celery) were the hottest products at this show. The hottie #4: linen placemats of elegant colors!
And our linen cushion cover Rhomb was even included to the trends collection of Maison&Objet 2012! So, the hottie #5: linen cushion covers (subtle ones!).
All the products mentioned above are either already available in our shop (follow the links in the text) or will be available this summer (like those Lara linen placemats). Check our news!
All in all, I must say, although January is always the most exhausting month of the year it is also is the most rewarding – huge quantities on new people, new places, new feedback, and new ideas flood my head and also the joy of being appreciated and accepted! Thank you all for all your belief and support!
Always yours – Inga
