Updated: October 2026 — We reviewed this article while preserving LinenMe’s original packaging and delivery commitments.
Sustainability at LinenMe extends beyond the linen itself. We aim to reduce waste during packing, make packaging useful for longer and avoid unnecessary delivery journeys. Here is how an order is prepared, what each layer is for and how you can reuse it at home.

Why packaging choices matter
Packaging protects textiles from dirt, moisture and damage in transit, but it should not create more waste than necessary. Our approach starts with durable linen products, then uses reusable or recyclable packing materials wherever practical. The aim is simple: protect the order while keeping materials in use for as long as possible.
Reusable linen bags made from fabric offcuts
Our team hand-packs linen purchases in drawstring bags made from fabric offcuts. Using remnants helps reduce textile waste, and every bag can continue working long after delivery. Colours vary according to the fabric available, so each one may look a little different.
Useful ways to reuse a linen packing bag include:
- organising chargers, cables and small accessories;
- keeping travel toiletries together;
- separating underwear or delicate items inside a suitcase;
- storing reusable shopping or produce bags;
- holding craft materials, toys or seasonal decorations;
- using it as a simple laundry bag for delicate garments;
- keeping everyday essentials together inside a larger tote.

Outer packaging designed for the journey
For the outer layer, LinenMe uses cardboard boxes and envelopes, along with courier bags made from 80% recycled film. Cardboard can be reused or recycled in many local systems. Please remove tape or labels where required by your local recycling rules and check locally before disposing of any mixed-material packaging.

Delivery with fewer avoidable journeys
LinenMe works with delivery partners including FedEx, UPS and DPD. Delivery networks and vehicle fleets continue to evolve, but customers can also help avoid unnecessary journeys: use accurate address details, choose a suitable delivery option and arrange for the parcel to be accepted on the first attempt whenever possible.
Keep both the product and packaging in use
The greatest value comes from using what you buy for a long time. Air and wash linen only when needed, repair small areas where practical and repurpose the drawstring bag. Whether your order contains linen bedding, linen clothing, kitchen textiles or linen curtains, careful use and maintenance help extend its life.
