For this month’s Book Club post we’re reviewing the memoir Educated by debut American writer Tara Westover. We had heard a lot of hype about this book before we read it, which is often a dangerous thing. It can taint how you approach reading something, knowing that everyone else seems to love it. So it was with some trepidation that we started Educated. But, happily, we thought this compelling book was just as good as they say it is.
With the Easter break fast approaching we’ve gathered some gift and table setting ideas to give you a splash of seasonal inspiration. Even if you don’t celebrate the festival, it’s a lovely time of year to get together with friends and family to celebrate the changing season. It’s a time of regrowth, blossoming and birth; a time to emerge from the quiet dark of winter and burst into life. Whether you’re hosting an Easter tea or looking for something to give to friends, here’s a few ideas to welcome in the Spring.
As the weather improves and Spring feels well underway we thought we’d introduce you to some of our new Spring/Summer season’s linen dresses. We’re pretty certain that amongst these you’ll find your new favourite summer dress. Layer up while there’s still a bit of a chill in the air, and wear on its own with sandals and shades once temperatures start to rise. Your summer wardrobe needs to be flexible: it needs to work for a whole range of occasions (from city breaks to long evening walks), and it needs to be easy to care for. We love low-maintenance linen, not just for how it looks, but also for the way it makes us feel. Light, fresh and naturally beautiful.
